The Applied Technology Program at Western Oklahoma State College is committed to providing exemplary educational opportunities to meet the needs of both the individual and the community through a curriculum that trains competent, employable people in a wide variety of skill specialties. The advanced standing agreement between Western Oklahoma State College and the United States Navy will allow students who meet the specified criteria to receive college credit for the instruction and training received in the U.S. Navy Technical Training programs and their related job experiences. These college credits will be awarded to the student when all the conditions of the Advanced Standing agreement have been met. The Applied Technology program at Western Oklahoma State College, through a core of liberal education courses, also strives to prepare the student for life long learning in an ever-changing world.
