ACADEMIC PROGRAMS
APPLIED TECHNOLOGY

The Applied Technology program at Western Oklahoma State College is committed to providing exemplary educational opportunities to meet the needs of both the individual and the community.

The cooperative agreements between Western and the area vocational-technical centers in Altus, Frederick, Duncan, and Lawton are a vital part of Western’s ability to provide quality education to a variety of skill specialties.

The Associate in Applied Science degree, which prepares the student for job advancement opportunities in the specialized area of study, is designed for those who plan to enter the job force immediately upon graduation in one of the specialty areas in which the degree is awarded.

The Diversified Technologies option (01505) allows students with two related technical specialties to complete an AAS Degree.

The Applied Technology option (01504) is designed for students with one specialty.
