A study of basic craft techniques using such materials as yarns,

Introduction to use of the camera, the gray scale, exposing,
development and enlarging. Introduction to paper grades, cropping,

Individual study for students interested in receiving 3 credit hours
for any creative activity or area of special interest in the Art or
Commercial Art career fields. Examples: paper-mache, specialized
sculpture, ceramics research, printmaking. Individualized
instruction by arrangement.

ARTS 1373 Digital Photography [AA 053]
An introduction to the critique and creation of digital images using
image editing and/or image manipulation software. Readings will
explore issues concerning the digital image and graphic design for
the internet as well as printed graphic media. Topics include
scanning, resolution, file formats, output devices, color systems,
and image-acquisitions. Students will be expected to use graphics
software and create WWW pages to complete design assignments.
Outside lab hours are required to complete assigned projects.

The study of three-dimensional expression by means of three basic
techniques: carving, modeling, and assembly. The student is given
the opportunity to create form in space with emphasis on the object
