Four units -- of English (grammar,
composition, literature)
Two units -- of a lab science (biology, chemistry,
physics or any lab science certified by the school district.
General science with or without a lab may not be used to meet
this requirement.)
Three units -- of mathematics (algebra I, algebra II,
geometry, trigonometry, math analysis, calculus, Advanced
Placement Statistics)
Three units -- of history and citizenship skills (including
one unit of American History and two additional units from the
subjects of history, economics, government and non-western
culture)
Three units -- of additional units of subjects previously
listed or selected from computer science or foreign language.
Fifteen total required units
While students in grades 9 through 12 will normally meet these
curricular requirements, advanced students who complete these
courses in earlier grades will not be required to take
additional courses for purposes of admission.
Four additional units of fine arts (music, art, drama, and
speech), one lab science (as described above) and one
mathematics (as described above) are recommended for college
preparation.
Students who are not high school graduates
Any student who is not a high school graduate (excluding GED
recipients) but whose high school class has graduated and has
participated in the American College Testing program (ACT) or
similar battery of tests is eligible for admission. Students
utilizing tests other than ACT will have their scores converted
to ACT equivalents.
