TRANSFERRING FROM OUT OF STATE

ADMISSION OF TRANSFER STUDENTS FROM OUT-OF-STATE
Undergraduate students wishing to transfer from an out-of-state college or
university to an institution in the state system may do so by meeting the
entrance requirements of the receiving institution as outlined in the admission
policy and by the following:

  1. Transcripts of record from colleges or universities accredited by the North
    Central Association or other regional association will be given full value.
     

  2. Each nonresident applicant must be in good standing in the institution from
    which he or she plans to transfer.
     

  3. Each nonresident applicant must have made a satisfactory (an average of "C"
    or better or meet this policy's current retention standards, whichever is
    higher) in the institution from which he/she plans to transfer.
     

  4. Transcripts of records from institutions not accredited by a regional
    association may be accepted in transfer when appropriate to the student's
    degree program and when the receiving institution has had an opportunity to
    validate the courses or programs.
     

  5. Each nonresident undergraduate applicant must meet the conditions above.
     

  6. Each nonresident undergraduate applicant who meets the above requirements
    will also be required to validate the transferred credit by making satisfactory
    progress (an average of "C" or better) for at least one semester.
