Withdrawal from a Class
A student may withdraw from one or more classes with an automatic grade of “W”
prior to the end of the 12th week in a 16-week term, prior to the end of the 6th
week in any 8-week term, or prior to the last three class days of an intercession term, which
lasts a total of 10 days.
Students withdrawing after the above scheduled times shall be assigned a grade of
“W” or “F” depending upon the student’s standing in the class.
Students who have problems contacting instructors are to see the
appropriate academic dean and/or the vice president for academic
affairs.
Withdrawal from College
Withdrawal from college is initiated in the office of admissions and
records. A form
will be issued containing the withdrawal procedures.The student is responsible for compliance with the procedures.
The student’s
identification card is to be turned in to the Business Office in Room A-3.
Administration Recommendation of Administrative
Withdrawal (AW)
Instructors are required to submit the Instructors Recommendation for Withdrawal.

The instructor may submit a withdrawal with a grade of “W” according to the following
schedule:
- Prior to the end of the 12th week in a 16-week term.
- Prior to the end of the 6th week in any 8-week term.
- Prior to the last three class days of an intersession term, which lasts a total
of 10 days.
- Any withdrawal after the 15th week must be approved by the vice
president
for academic affairs.
