The visiting team from the Higher Learning
Commission of the North Central Association has recommended that
Western Oklahoma State College be reaccredited for 10 years,
according to President Randy Cumby.
“This is very positive,” said Cumby. “Ten years is the maximum
amount of time that an organization can be reaccredited. We are
waiting for the final report to get all the details, but the initial
verbal report was very good.”
Cumby said that one of the initial recommendations include approval
of the following online degree programs: office systems technology,
criminal justice, and child development.
