WESTERN PARTICIPATES IN ALCOHOL AWARENESS WEEK

Western participated in the National Collegiate Alcohol Awareness Week (NCAAW) October 21-27, 2007. More than 1,000 college and university campuses across the nation took part in activities to reinforce personal responsibility and respect for current state laws when it comes to the consumption of alcohol beverages.

The calendar of events started on Monday, October 22 and Wednesday, October 24 with the Healthy Lifestyle and Volunteer event. Then on Friday, October 26, Western had its Alcohol Free Tail-Gate Party. Hot dogs, chips, and drinks were served and music was provided.

Also on hand at the tail-gate event was the Oklahoma Highway Department demonstrating a roll-over simulator.
