The Western Oklahoma State College Foundation held its second annual Foundation Bowling Tournament at the Town and Country Bowling Lanes in Altus on September 10. Sixteen student organizations competed in hopes of taking home the coveted trophy.

The Western Radiographers defended their title from last year and were named the 2007 tournament champions.

The WOSC Foundation Bowling Tournament is made possible through the efforts of a large number of individuals. Western’s Office of College & HS Relations promotes the event within the school in order to get student participation and provides funding for the use of the bowling alley.

NAIFA – Southwest Oklahoma (National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors) contributes $100 per team to cover the cost of entry. This enables each student organization to compete in the competition for free.

This year, $1,600 was raised and will be placed in the NAIFA – Southwest Oklahoma scholarship endowment. Two worthy second semester sophomore students will be awarded a $250 scholarship each through this program.
