Western Oklahoma State College ' s Community Chorus
continues to practice Sounds of the Season, a Christmas production
scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 8 in Western ' s Herschal H. Crow Fine
Arts Auditorium at 7 p.m.
"The community chorus is a chance for the people of the community to
join together to celebrate the wonder and glory of the Christmas
season through music," said Karla Shelby, who is the choir director
of Western Oklahoma State College.
Sounds of the Season is full of Christmas selections both
traditional and contemporary. Some songs that have been familiar
through the years will be made new by modern arrangements.
The evening will include hand bells, area dancers, and
instrumentalists performing with the Community Chorus.
Rehearsals are Monday evenings from 6:30 to 8 p.m., and it is not
too late to join.
