Western Oklahoma State College is excited to welcome Kyle and Nicole Keenum as President’s Partners. Kyle, a proud alumnus, and Nicole, a former faculty member, have deep roots with Western, making their involvement even more meaningful.

Kyle and Nicole have a rich family history in southwest Oklahoma and are proud to call Altus their home. They own and operate Rexco Drug & Gifts and have two children, Harper, 9, and Kolt, 11. Kyle received his associate's degree from Western in 2004 before completing his Doctorate of Pharmacy (PharmD) from the University of Oklahoma in 2009. His degree path was unique because he was able to obtain his doctorate without a bachelor’s, leveraging his associate’s degree from Western. Nicole received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Northeastern State University.  She was a math instructor at Western from 2013 to 2018 and is currently teaching 5th-grade math at Altus Intermediate School.

The Keenums agree that Western is “truly a Smart Start.” Kyle says of becoming a President’s Partner, “Western is a very important part of the community and one of the biggest draws to our area. We are excited to be a part of this program to support and give back to Western.”

Dr. Wiginton, Western Oklahoma State College President, says of this new partnership, “The Keenums are connected to Western in different ways.  Dr. Kyle was a student and graduate, while Nicole was a valuable faculty member in our Math department.  However, they both have the same strong desire to see the college and our students succeed.  They are Pioneers through and through, and we are so grateful for the way they serve and support our community”.

Western Oklahoma State College is thankful to Kyle and Nicole Keenum, and to all of the President’s Partners for providing financial support above and beyond operational funding provided to the college by the Oklahoma Legislature.

The Western Oklahoma State College Foundation provides the opportunity to invest in the future by offering many ways to give. The WOSC Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c) 3 organization and exists to generate support for the students and programs of Western Oklahoma State College.
