Western Oklahoma State College is proud to welcome Chad and Maegan Scott, Southern Grounds Lawn and Landscape, as the newest WOSC President’s Partners.

Maegan is a native of SW Oklahoma, growing up in Blair.  She attended Western, then continued her education at UCO and Cameron, obtaining her bachelor’s and master’s degrees.  Maegan came back to Western in 2015 working in Student Services.  She is currently the Director of Public Relations.  Meeting Chad through mutual friends, they were married in 2022, and are now settled in Blair with their 9-month-old daughter Olivia.  Chad owns and operates Southern Grounds Lawn and Landscape.  He began the business in 2015 in Ruston, Louisiana near his hometown of Shreveport, and has expanded to a second operation in Southwest Oklahoma.

Becoming President’s Partners allows Chad and Maegan to contribute directly to the success of Western students.  Maegan shared that she was fortunate to receive scholarship funding during her time at Western, and she is thrilled to now have the opportunity to give back, ensuring other students can benefit from the same life-changing experience.  Commenting on their new partnership, “We are incredibly excited that we are a part of the Western family.  Giving back to the community and supporting students in their educational journey is something we’re both passionate about.”

Western Oklahoma State College President Dr. Wiginton says of this new partnership, “Maegan was one of our Western Ambassadors when I served as the advisor to that group years ago. She was a terrific representative for Western and we were thrilled when she made the decision to return as an employee. She and Chad are true Pioneers and we see their support on a daily basis.”

The WOSC Foundation, Inc., is grateful to Chad and Maegan and all of the President’s Partners for playing a vital role in the success of the college and for their commitment to enhancing educational opportunities for students.

The WOSC Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c) 3 organization and exists to generate support for the students and programs of Western Oklahoma State College.
