Three Pioneers Awarded Chickasaw Nation Scholarship

Altus, OK – Western Oklahoma State College Foundation, Inc. proudly announces that three students have been awarded the Chickasaw Nation Scholarship for the 2024-2025 academic year. This scholarship celebrates academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to community service.

These students have demonstrated remarkable dedication to their education and have shown tremendous potential as future leaders in their respective fields. The Chickasaw Nation Scholarship provides financial support to help them achieve their academic and career goals.

  • Paris Spraggins, a 2022 graduate of Cache High School, plans to continue her education at Cameron University in the Radiology program and ultimately work in ultrasound.
  • Kinley Wolfe, a sophomore at Western Oklahoma State College, is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education to fulfill her passion for teaching and shaping young minds.
  • Kelli George, a first-year student in the WOSC nursing program, plans to become certified in forensics, with a specialization as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE).

WOSC President Dr. Chad Wiginton expressed his gratitude for the Chickasaw Nation’s support: “We are immensely proud of Paris, Kinley, and Kelli. The Chickasaw Nation’s investment in our students not only helps them succeed but also strengthens our entire community. We are grateful for this partnership and the opportunities it creates for our students.”

The Chickasaw Nation Scholarship is part of the Chickasaw Nation’s commitment to fostering educational opportunities for students of Chickasaw heritage and beyond. It provides recipients with the resources they need to excel academically and make meaningful contributions to society.
