Outstanding students from across Oklahoma were recognized at the All Oklahoma Academic Team and OACC President's Tuition Waiver Award Ceremony, held at the Oklahoma State Capitol. This annual event celebrates academic excellence and leadership among two-year college students and high school seniors planning to further their education.

Representing Western Oklahoma State College, Rustin Fraser and Miguel Clemente were named to the prestigious All-Oklahoma Academic Team. Fraser, whose career goal is to become an orthopedic surgeon, and Clemente, who aspires to be a business owner, earned this recognition through their outstanding academic achievements and leadership. The All-Oklahoma Academic Team is composed of students nominated for the national All-USA Academic Team competition and is selected based on academic excellence, extracurricular involvement, and service to their communities.

Additionally, three outstanding high school seniors were awarded the OACC President’s Tuition Waiver, a $1,000 scholarship applied over the 2025-2026 academic year. The recipients are:

  • Madison Lake, senior at Blair High School
  • Broc Teel, senior at Granite High School
  • Chelsey Fuller, senior at Grandfield High School

Fraser, Clemente, and Lake were present at the ceremony to accept their honors in person.

To be eligible for the All Oklahoma Academic Team, students must have a minimum 3.50 GPA, be on track to graduate in 2025 and be nominated by their college. The OACC President’s Tuition Waiver recipients are selected by college presidents based on their academic accomplishments and leadership potential.

This ceremony highlights the vital role of community colleges in fostering student success and preparing future leaders. Congratulations to all the honorees on their achievements!
