Pioneers Capture Men's Title at OSU Cowboy Stampede Rodeo

The Western Oklahoma State College rodeo team turned in strong performances at their latest competition, highlighted by a first-place finish for the men’s team.

The Pioneers showed depth across multiple events. In Tie Down Roping, Riley O’Rourke earned third place with an 18.1-second average, while Trey Knight secured second in Steer Wrestling with a 10.5 average.

Team Roping brought several top finishes for Western. The duo of Caleb Miller and Dace Morris placed third with a 13.0 average, while Trigger Hargrove and his partner finished fourth (19.7 average). Dexton Hoelting and his partner came in sixth (18.9 average), followed by Braxton Foster and Wesson Parker in eighth (21.1 average).

On the women’s side, Cricket Schauf placed 10th in Goat Tying with a 14.7 average, contributing to an 11th-place team finish for the women’s team.

The weekend’s results marked another strong showing for Western Oklahoma State College, with the men’s team taking 1st overall and continuing their momentum early in the season.
