The Western Oklahoma State College Agriculture Department celebrated outstanding student achievement during the 2025 Agriculture Scholarship Luncheon held on Thursday, September 18.

Thanks to the generous support of the Agriculture Advisory Board and donors from across Southwest Oklahoma, the department awarded 70 scholarships totaling a record-breaking $39,900—the largest amount in program history.

More than 120 guests, including local businesses, community members, and families, attended the luncheon to honor this year’s recipients and show their continued support for Western’s agriculture students.

During the program, Dr. Jennifer Hammack, Agriculture Division Director, shared exciting departmental updates, including record enrollment in both the spring and fall semesters. The department has seen a 25% increase in new agriculture students, a 30% overall enrollment boost, and an impressive 50% increase in 2025 agriculture graduates.

Western’s Agriculture Department continues to thrive thanks to the strong partnerships and community support that help our students succeed. These scholarships make a real difference in the lives of our students and the future of agriculture in our region.

Congratulations to all the Pioneer scholarship recipients, and a heartfelt thank-you to the donors and community members who continue to invest in the future of Western Oklahoma State College’s agriculture students.
