Western Oklahoma State College’s Testing Center has earned Test Center Certification from the National College Testing Association (NCTA), recognizing the center’s commitment to high-quality testing practices, security and professional standards.
The NCTA certification process includes rigorous criteria based on the organization’s Professional Standards and Guidelines, which are designed to guide post-secondary testing centers in the delivery of quality testing programs.
Western’s Testing Center is one of a growing number of test centers in the United States and around the world to complete the intensive certification process. The certification is valid for five years and may be renewed by demonstrating continued compliance with national standards.
“The National Certification designation opens doors to allow in additional exams at our location,” said Western Oklahoma State College Vice President for Student Services Dr. Keila Manos. “We are excited to be able to offer expanded testing opportunities to not only our students, but for students and employees of our community partners.”
The national designation recognizes the efforts of Michelle Shumaker and the entire Western Oklahoma State College Testing Center staff for maintaining high standards in test administration and providing quality service to students and community members.
The National College Testing Association is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting professionalism and high-quality service in the administration of testing programs. NCTA membership includes more than 2,200 testing professionals representing more than 650 colleges and universities, along with test companies and organizations that provide test-related products and services.
