Melissa Maples currently serves as the Vice President for Business Affairs at Western Oklahoma State College. As the Vice President for Business Affairs, she oversees the Accounting and Personnel departments, bookstore, and food services.
Prior to her arrival at Western Oklahoma State College, Ms. Maples worked for BP Energy Partners, a private equity company sponsored by T. Boone Pickens. She was responsible for accounting, information technology, and fund operations functions for BP and its affiliates. Prior to BP, Ms. Maples worked at MUFG Capital Analytics as a fund accountant. Before her Accounting Degree, Ms. Maples managed several restaurants in the Dallas, Texas area.
Ms. Maples received her M.S. in Accounting and B.B.A. in Accounting, both from University of North Texas in Denton, Texas. She received her B.S. in Food Service Management and A.S. in Culinary Arts, both from Johnson & Wales University in Charlotte, North Carolina. She graduated high school from Enid High School, and currently resides in Altus, Oklahoma.
