Why should you get an Associate Degree?
Western offers over 20 degree programs.
New Student Orientation (similar to an Online Course)
Orientation is now offered in an online class format called "Virtual Western (Campus Resource Guide)". Virtual Western will show up in every student's course list on Moodle. This program has been designed to help students navigate Moodle and Campus Connect, enroll in RAVE Mobile, and to help students become more successful academically as well as help them feel comfortable in their new surroundings. There is a quiz at the end of each unit, except for the last unit which is specific to non-traditional students. Once students have completed Virtual Western it will continue to show up in the course list to be used as a resource. If you are not yet enrolled and would like to access "Virtual Western", you can see a condensed version of it at: wosc.edu/virtualwestern
First priority are the students! Western has a 13:1 teacher to student ratio. On Average, Western graduates earned a 3.0 GPA after transferring to a 4 year university! Roughly 45 percent of Western's 2012 graduates transferred to a 4 year university.

Financial Aid can be a tremendous help when continuing one's education! The majority of our students, 86 percent in fact, receive some sort of financial aid. And with few colleges of Western's caliber having a higher percentage of students who receive Pell Grants, we clearly put a far greater value on student's abilities than their means.
