Misty George named Best of Southwest

Congratulations to Western math instructor Misty George on being voted Best of the Southwest by the Altus Times readers! She was named the best college professor.


Ms. George has been an instructor on Western’s campus for nine years, with a total of 33 years of teaching and enriching the lives of our youth. She received the WOSC Teacher of the Year award in 2017 and 2022. This honor is nominated and voted for by the student body at Western. She also received the WOSC Commitment to Excellence Award in 2018, nominated and voted for by colleagues. We are proud to have Ms. George as a Pioneer!
