Pioneers Compete at the College National Finals Rodeo

Four Western Oklahoma State College rodeo team members qualified and competed at the 2023 College National Finals Rodeo in Casper, WY, June 11-17. All were competing in team roping. Jessen James and former Pioneer Garret Elmore won round two. Nicholas Lovins and Mason Appleton won the short round and ended the year 3rd in the nation. Nicholas Lovins was selected as the Rookie Heeler of the CNFR and received a $500 scholarship.
