Western Oklahoma State College's Board of Regents Approve Guns on Campus Resolution

Western Oklahoma State College's Board of Regents approved a resolution reaffirming support for the current state law on weapons on campus during its meeting on Thursday, February 27. The resolution states, "The members of the Western Oklahoma State College Board of Regents support maintaining the current law regarding weapons on campus, in which the President has the discretion to allow individuals to carry weapons on campus when the individual circumstances warrant it. We strongly oppose any changes to state law regarding weapons on college and university campuses."

The WOSC Staff Senate and Faculty Senate also approved the same resolution, reinforcing campus-wide support for maintaining the current law.
