Clubs & Organizations AKA: Get involved!
Get involved! There is a wide array of clubs and organizations on campus to choose from — they are geared toward a specific interest, affiliation or career path, and all are open to interested students.
Pioneer Sports AKA: Athletics
Come cheer on the Pioneers! Western competes in four sports: men's baseball, cheerleading, rodeo, women’s softball, men's basketball and women's basketball. Students, faculty and the community are encouraged to show their support.
Intramurals AKA: Fun for All!!!
The intramural program offers competition in sports for everyone, provided in the form of leagues, tournaments or special events. The program is designed for current students, faculty and staff. Intramural participation allows individuals to set goals, socialize, participate in physical activity, improve their overall physical and mental well-being and, most importantly, HAVE FUN!
Pioneer Point AKA: Student Lounge
Pioneer Point was designed with the students in mind which includes 12 booths for studying/eating with hardwired internet and power, wireless/wired internet, pool tables, air hockey, ping pong table, xbox's, playstation3's, cable box's, and many more games.
Western Oklahoma State College encourages students to participate in the various student activities and organizations to improve their social development during college years. It is the objective of the institution to provide an activity suited to the needs of every student on the campus.
All student organizations and activities are under direct supervision of the dean of student support services. In order to be a "sanctioned" organization on the Western Oklahoma State College campus, a club/organization must have by-laws which address the purpose of the organization, membership requirements, dues, officer and membership lists on file in the office of student support services and it must have a faculty advisor.
To receive any financial support through the office of student support services, an organization must be "sanctioned" by the student senate each year. Procedures for becoming a sanctioned organization are available in the office of student support services.
